What an exciting life we lead...on Friday, Brian was still sick and wanted to accomplish tasks rather than lay around so we ran all these errands. First we dropped Brian's car off for his yearly safety inspection. This is some sort of deal between the body shops and the state. Of course, they find something. Brian had to pay $60 to have the scratches buffed out of his headlamp covers to pass amongst other things. Whatever...The inspection and "repairs" took 4 hours so we ran errands. We picked up our new Ko olina sports club cards so we can play tennis again and get discounts at the restaurants.
Then we decided to rent a carpet cleaner from home depot. We cleaned the carpet from 4pm-10:30 pm. We only did the downstairs. The off white carpet has been making me crazy for a long time. We realized as we cleaned that the carpet was not cleaned before we moved in. It was pulling up a lot of dirt. We are definitely doing this again when it needs it. It took a lot of work but it looks a lot better. We had to do many passes over the high traffic areas. It's not completely gone, but its so much better.
Brian is still sick today (one week now) so I am going to do some cleaning in prep for our visitors coming in 12 days.....
